Caffeinated regards from LondonCoffeeFestival – where Coffee Innovation never sleeps.🌍☕
This week, I had the pleasure of delivering a keynote at the LondonCoffeeFestival (LCF) – one of Europe’s most vibrant coffee events. Since 2011, LCF has grown into a cornerstone of the global coffee industry calendar, bringing together thousands of professionals, innovators, and enthusiasts for four days of collaboration, connection, and celebration.
My talk focused on the Mega Trends shaping the global coffee industry — from shifting consumer behaviors and premiumization, to the rise of specialty, instant, AI in industry and the evolving sourcing landscape across Africa, India, and Latin America.
💡 The energy in the room was fantastic. I had great conversations with roasters, retailers, exporters, startups, and long-established brands — all hungry to adapt and grow in a fast-changing market. Especially quite interesting as well the interaction with financial investors and organizations during these days in London.
☕ My key message: The future of coffee belongs to those who understand both the bean and the bigger picture. This session unpacked the evolution of global coffee consumption - from origin, diversity and brewing innovation to how consumer behaviors are shaping the future industry. It was packed with insight and perspective.
One key observation at the Hashtag#LCF2025 and in line with many other dynamic coffee places in the world – coffee´s new ice age.
❄️ As cold coffee seems increasingly become the de facto choice for younger consumers around the world. It is not just about the cold drink, it´s about that micro-luxury experience.
Thanks to everyone who attended, challenged, questioned, and shared ideas. Let’s keep the conversation going - feel free to connect if you’d like to discuss coffee strategy, growth opportunities, or market insights.
