Empowering Teams with Positive Psychology as mindset

Exciting chapters about positive psychology at the DGPP - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Positive Psychologie. Positive psychology is about the meaning of life, resilience, flow, strengths of character as well as a question of attitude.

The next chapter was about the meaning of life, gratitude, self-compassion, mindfulness and social networking.

The last chapter was about self-determination, resilience, positive health, flow and perceived self-efficacy.

The next chapter for me at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Positive Psychologie was about Positive Business Essentials. Positive business is an umbrella term for the practical application of positive psychology and positive organizational scholarship theories in business settings. Positive leadership and company culture increasing e.g. effectiveness, potential, energy, capacity, competitiveness, health, innovation and therefore profitability as well.

The next chapter for me at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Positive Psychologie was about Positive Coaching. I had somehow the feeling of continuing the science at the heart of coaching. The discipline of positive psychology can provide coaching with an evidence-based framework and a defined scope of practice (Martin Seligman).

The next chapter for me at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Positive Psychologie was about Positive Business as working tool. Positive business is an umbrella term for the practical application of positive psychology and positive organizational scholarship theories in business settings. Exciting days at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Positive Psychologie in Berlin about Positive Leadership that recognizes and utilizes individual strengths.

It is therefore a leadership style that is not only about meeting today's demands in organizations, but also about growing with them and developing oneself and one's employees. Positive leadership has been shown to reduce stress and burnout, promote health and job satisfaction, and therefore as well performance.

PERMA-Lead is a Positive Leadership approach that describes specific behaviors for leadership that positively impacts employees. The PERMA-Lead®Model is scientifically based and was developed by Dr. Markus Ebner.

He has applied these findings to leadership: If these 5 factors have been proven to promote the development of people's potential, successful leadership must be geared toward positively influencing these 5 areas in employees.

Persons led by a Positive Leader specifically focuses attention on strengths, opportunities, and solutions that contribute to successfully accomplishing tasks. This leads to a win-win situation for the company, the employees and also for the leader him/herself.

Tomorrow Mind congress Vienna (Austria)

Exciting days at the conference tomorrowmind2023 in Vienna (AUSTRIA) - shaping the future with the giants of positive psychology and positive leadership.

Especially in times of war and inflation, there is a need for a compass to manage the future. Because we have it in our hands: withdrawal and despair or optimism and hope. Tomorrow mind is needed. That's also the title of the new book by Gabriella Rosen Kellerman, MD and Martin Seligman, where key highlights presented in Vienna.

It started with a hands-on workshop with Kim Cameron, a true pioneer in the study of positive leadership, offers validated scientific evidence that all individuals are inherently attracted to and flourish in the presence of positive energy. Further, he shows that the positive relational energy generated by leaders’ virtuous behaviors - for example, generosity, compassion, gratitude, trustworthiness, forgiveness, and kindness - is tightly linked to extraordinary organizational outcomes like greater innovation, higher profits, and increased engagement and retention.

Positively Energizing Leadership is a major contribution to the theory and practice of leadership and one of the most important factors that leads to spectacular performance in organizations.

Truly inspiring sessions of many presenters with key people like Prof. Dr. Judith Mangelsdorf about looking into the sun - How existential experiences point the way to a better future. We need inner change towards that willingness to contribute to the good of the community. The fourth wave of positive psychology, it could be called Globality

Martin Seligman was talking in a very truly inspirational session about science of well-being: Seligman designed the PERMA model and represents the five core elements of happiness and well-being. PERMA basically stands for Pleasant Emotion, Engagement “Flow”, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishments.
It has been a real honor to have the possibility to listen to the giants of positive psychology and the potential AI-revolution in Vienna.

World of Happiness congress London UK

Wellbeing is the Purpose was the overall theme this week in London during the World Happiness Summit WOHASU ®. Happiness = enjoyment + satisfaction + meaning. Reflect on purpose: Why am I alive?

Purpose is the guiding force that imparts direction to meaning. It is a powerful motivator in our personal and professional lives because it drives our actions. Back to business school this week. ESMT Berlin - European School of Management and Technology. ESMT Berlin is the highest-ranked business school in Germany and Top 10 in Europe.

This week was about Gamechanger – New leadership perspectives. Develop yourself and your organization.

The historic main campus building of ESMT formerly housed the state council building of the East German government.

This week was about „Leading with Psychological Intelligence “. Understanding better the principles of human behavior within organizations, increasing acceptance of your ideas and work requests as well establishing more productive working relationships.
